The 9 Most Stylish Diaper Bags You’ll Love Using

Often, being a mom feels like we have to sacrifice style because of all the new lifestyle demands. I’ve felt this too, especially when carrying our big bulky diaper bag instead of a cute purse everywhere now!

When I first got our original diaper bag from Amazon, I expected to use it to a few but not all outings with our baby. Reality check – it turned out to be every single outing. I’ve realized that whether I’m heading to a playdate or running errands, having a chic diaper bag that can easily double as a purse or tote is a game-changer.

The first bag we chose was very functional, reasonably stylish, and at a great price of $25. For our upcoming trip to Asia though, I’ve been looking for a less bulky and more chic bag.

What to Look for in a Diaper Bag

There’s so much to consider when shopping for a bag that you’ll likely use at every outing with your little one. After all, you’ll be using it for at least the first couple of years. So what’s important to look for in an ideal diaper bag that can double as a chic tote or backpack?

  1. Multiple Compartments: You’ll want plenty of pockets to keep diapers, wipes, bottles, and your personal items organized. Look for both internal and external pockets.
  2. Comfortable Straps: Whether it’s a tote or backpack, check that the straps are comfortable, especially if you’ll be wearing the bag for long periods.
  3. Easy to Clean: Babies are messy, so choose a bag made from materials that are easy to wipe down or machine-washable.
  4. Stylish Design: Pick a bag that aligns with your personal style so you’ll want to carry it even when you’re not with the baby.
  5. Convertible Options: Some bags can be worn as a backpack, crossbody, or tote.
  6. Avoid Bulkiness: Avoid overly large bags or ones with too many pockets on the outside. They’ll look super bulky, and that’s not chic!

After too many hours of research, here’s my list of top 9 diaper bags that are both practical and stylish. Some of these are actually totes that can act as a diaper bag. I plan to replace our current diaper bag with one of these options. I’ll share an update on which one once I buy and try it out!

1. Fawn Design Square Diaper Bag

This sleek, minimalist diaper bag is made from premium faux leather. This gives a high-end look and feel. It can be worn as a backpack or crossbody, so it’s versatile and super easy to carry.

  • 12 pockets for easy organization
  • Gold hardware for a chic touch

Why it’s great: The Fawn Design bag looks like a modern, designer handbag while offering plenty of space for all your baby essentials.

Machine washable? No. The faux leather exterior is wipeable, but not machine washable.

4. Skip Hop Diaper Backpack

If you want a subtle sophisticated pattern on your bag, this Skip Hop diaper backpack is a great option. It has a sleek chevron quilted pattern all over. It also comes with packing cubes which are super convenient. That’s a big selling point for me because diaper bags can get pretty chaotic with all sorts of items thrown in there!

    • has 2 insulated bottle pockets

Why it’s great: The subtle quilting and monochromatic design gives this diaper bag a modern look while offering high functionality.

5. Dagne Dover Large Wade Diaper Tote

I’ve been eyeing Dagne Dover’s bags for a while now, and not just the diaper bag! All their bags look so chic and high-quality. They also come in really nice colors. 6. Calpak Convertible Diaper Backpack with Laptop Sleeve

This one’s for the working mamas who need their laptops on the go. It has a built-in laptop sleeve. They also have a nice range of color options. The hazelnut is my favorite!

Why it’s great: The built-in laptop sleeve makes it convenient for working mamas on the go, and

7. Petunia Pickle Bottom Boxy Backpack

Petunia Pickle Bottom bags are known for their fun, modern prints, but they also have a clean, timeless style. The Boxy Backpack is one of their most popular models and can be worn as a backpack or a crossbody.

8. Happ Levy Backpack

For fashionista moms, this is a great option because it’s got a trendy look and doesn’t give off diaper bag vibes at all.

Features:

  • Lightweight with 9 different compartments
  • Woven design in the front looks beautiful
  • Structured bottom with metal feet so it’ll stand on its own

Why it’s great: If you don’t want to lug around a big bag, this stylish fanny pack gives you just enough space for the necessities.

This vegan leather backpack is sleek and compact but has all the pockets and features you’d need in a diaper bag. It’s simple yet stylish, making it easy to wear day or night.

Features:

  • Insulated side pocket for bottles
  • Water-resistant and easy to clean

Why it’s great: It’s a fashionable and functional backpack that doesn’t look like a diaper bag, making it a great everyday option.

I decided to refresh our home gym and make it a more inviting, zen space to get a good sweat in (and of course I had to fill it with plants). I was also excited to repurpose our old entryway table that had been collecting dust forever! Peloton app runs and Chloe Ting workouts, here I come 💪

My happy new FLF plant is from @bloomsgiving their plants are cared for so well!

Highlights from our first trip a few weekends ago Highlights from our first trip a few weekends ago with just us as a family, including our dog Mango! We also brought him along to Pismo last year for our babymoon. It’s such a laid-back and dog-friendly beach town, perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway. Chloe LOVES dogs and would squeal in delight and say “dog!” every time we saw one. Our little dogspotter 😆

Tips:
-keep the itinerary very light and account for naps
-bring liquid formula for the road
-leave the toys at home, there’s plenty to entertain them!
-bring a baby carrier like an Ergobaby

We stayed at our favorite dog-friendly hotel in Pismo, @thecliffshotelandspa 💯

She came into the world blurry-eyed, always sleepy She came into the world blurry-eyed, always sleepy, and unable to move much at all. Even lifting her head was a big effort. Now she’s toddling around, trying to put on her own shoes, and pointing to ask for this and that!

We’re constantly amazed by how quickly she adapts, learns, and grows stronger. We observe every day with patience and celebrate each little milestone so she builds confidence and learns at her own pace. These moments are a reminder to slow down, soak it all in, and support her growing independence with love and encouragement.

Mid-Autumn Festival is right around the corner and Mid-Autumn Festival is right around the corner and making snow skin mooncakes was such a fun, festive way to celebrate! The ingredients are surprisingly simple and they tasted great. Kind of like mochi filled with custard! I froze some to give to my parents this weekend.

Tip: you can also add matcha powder or beet juice to add a natural pop for color to the snow skin 🌈

Comment or DM me for the recipe link, 10/10 recommend it. Next year I’d love to try making traditional baked mooncakes. If you’ve made those before, let me know how it went and any tips! 🌝
